Turnout touches 64 percent in phase one of Uttarvan polls

Provisional figures put turnout in the first phase at 64.2 percent across 30 seats.

Rural constituencies recorded 67 percent, against 58 percent in city seats.

Final figures will be published after polling staff return the voting machines.
